Jigging streamers on the European nymphing rod setup was productive on rainbow trout between 14 and 18 inches. Durango offers excellent access to the Animas River throughout town and fishing in this mountain town urban environment is a unique experience. The weather turned very snowy and windy on the 21st so plans changed from fishing the Animas and San Juan rivers in New Mexico to skiing powder near Pagosa Springs Colorado!
